Fuel Injection Cleaning

Fuel injectors open and close millions of times

Fuel injector cleaning bathEvery car built since the 90’s has a fuel injection system. The fuel delivery to the engine is via the fuel injectors.

Over the period of an engines life, the injectors open and close millions of times! It is inevitable that during that time a build up of gummy varnish appears on the moving parts of the injector. The filtration part of the injector can also get clogged.

Despite fuel quality improving over recent years, it is still necessary to be able to check injector flow rate, leak test, spray pattern and injector duration (opening times of the injector) when diagnosing poor performance or poor running. The engine relies on a fully atomised spray of fuel that has mixed easily with air.

Autotechnics can test and clean your fuel injectors to ensure that your engine gets the precise amount of fuel required for each given engine load.
