Ben Ellis

Title: Technician
Ben spent 3 years at Mid Kent College full time and achieved a BTEC National Diploma in Motor Vehicle Engineering. Ben then spent 4 years with franchised dealerships in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Ben moved from Tunbridge Wells with his family in 2002 and gained a wealth of experience with the Sewards group of garages until joining Autotechnics in Autumn 2005.
Ben has seen a change in the technology used in vehicles, and can see that the motor industry is going to be more computer orientated. Ben is predicting an onset of Electric and hybrid powered vehicles in the future to combat the environmental issues and depletion of fossil fuels.
Away from the Autotechnics workshop, Ben enjoys varied hobbies and interests including Swimming, Skiing, Shooting, Sailing, Walking his 2 dogs (Dalmatian and Alsatian) and Classic cars.
Ben likes the friendly, relaxed yet professional environment of Autotechnics whilst working on interesting and challenging products.
Ben lives with his partner and is getting married in Summer 2006.
